On Wenesday night, we had the pleasure of attending Sigrid at Hoxton Square Bar and Kitchen. The new band is hailing from Bergen in Norway. She smashed it, and I see a long career ahead for this super talented, tiny 20 year old!
Here she is performing “Fake Friends” taken off the Don’t Kill My Vibe EP.
I am back behind the decks at MoMo’s, where I used to have a residency a few years ago on Thursday nights. We’ve Ben holding house parties that we’ve called “Shindigs” for the last three years. These give us a chance to play music exactly how we like it, as well as party just how we like to! Last Friday we’ve decided to change it up a bit, and take our full crew and DJs to host at our favourite club in London and do a MoMo’s Shindig. Wow; it was so fun! The family got to play back to back all night long. Thanks to everyone for making it out with beautiful and shining energy. We will definitely repeat it soon!
In collaboration with Y.PLAY for Y.CO, we suggest a fitting song for a boat and its destination every month and present:
One Yacht. One Destination. One Song.
Pride. Balearics. Mac DeMarco – On the Level.
Widen your horizons while aboard PRIDE, a yacht with opulent details that pair perfectly with the waters of the Balearics. To pair with such a grand scheme, Mac DeMarco’s new release “On the Level” has a soothing tone that flirts with memories of a beach and palm trees swaying in the distance. This track ends with lyrical determination that is testament to an onboard crew that are there to fill your every need. Just like PRIDE, DeMarco’s latest has just about something for everyone.
Sound Purpose was invited to the Amazon Lounge at the O2 to see Ed Sheeran on his worldwide Divide tour.
Seeing Ed Sheeran live is about the only way to fully wrap your head around how truly talented this young man is. He is able to completely change the atmosphere of whatever venue he is performing in and does it in a way that the vibe of the audience matches the song.
He somehow can deliver a feeling of a full band by using his voice, his guitar, and his loop pedal. He mixed in some of his old hits along with a taste of his latest album release.
Here is a clip of his hit “Bloodstream” off his previous album X.
