Superyachts Top 100

By | Uncategorized | No Comments
Once again, the elite yachting community made its way to London to celebrate the achievements within the industry. At the M.E. hotel in the heart of the city, the Superyacht 100 event brought together the most luxurious influencers and sponsors to kick off the new year.

To match the caliber of guests that were in attendance, Sound Purpose was called in to create the music for the night. The Superyacht 100 mix draws influences from Natalie’s childhood and experiences within the yachting world and music industry.

Each song that appears on this mix was carefully selected, but two stand out.

London folk duo Whilk and Misky’s Babe I’m Yours has a western feel that is portrayed through the resonator-based melody. This song is about a Man’s man coming to terms with surrendering is power to love. Those with an understanding of the beauty of sailing on the sea can appreciate the inevitable submission to love.

Love Machine by Supermax is a danceable, albeit sensual rock song. This track is unique and modern in its own way, and much like the yachting community, draws upon different influences. Love Machine is a bona fide disco classic and provides the perfect backing to a celebratory event.

See below to check out the full mix, read to more about the event, as well as Superyacht.com’s interview with Natalie.

One Yacht. One Destination. One Song. Oasis. Saint-Barthélemy. Fink – Walking In The Sun (PANG! Slow Things Down Mix).

In collaboration with Y.PLAY for Y.CO, we suggest a fitting song for a boat and its destination every month and present:

One Yacht. One Destination. One Song.

Oasis. Saint-Barthélemy. Fink – Walking In The Sun (PANG! Slow Things Down Mix).

We imagined pure relaxation on Oasis with the Nu Disco remix of Fink’s cover of Jeff Barry’s 70s classic Walking in the Sun. This track is the epitome of laidback, and provides the perfect backtrack for pulling into St. Barts. While on one of Oasis’ three comfortable lounging decks you can see the luxurious white sands on the horizon.
